At Marian College, our Explore program for Years 9 and 10 recognises that each student’s learning journey is unique, so this program offers flexibility and personalisation within a structured curriculum.
Explore provides students with guided choice: they continue to engage with all key learning areas to ensure a well-rounded education, while also selecting from a diverse range of elective courses that reflect their interests, strengths, and future aspirations. This model encourages student agency, deeper engagement, and the development of independent learning skills.
Importantly, students are supported every step of the way. Through subject selection conferences, guidance from our Careers team, and personalised support from Homeroom teachers, students are equipped to make informed decisions about their learning pathways. This collaborative approach ensures that choices are aligned with both student interests and long-term goals, whether academic, vocational, or personal.
